As you may know, I recently mentioned that we did a radio piece. Well, not me personally, I couldn't be bothered to go down. I listened to it and it wasn't *too* bad. Not the best, but then it's the radio. Apparently we got alot of feedback too, which is definitely good. Maybe we can be more adventurous with where we train now. I'm itching to go training actually.
Also, on the ride down, Flipp fell off his bike, royally fucking up his arm. Here's wishing him a speedy recovery. Dangerous things, those bicycles.
Here's a link to the radio piece (You'll probably need RealPlayer or some shit to listen. Or use winamp): http://www.bbc.co.uk/leicester/realmedia/2007/09/click_flowflys_21092007.ram
Peak District. We've decided that we're going to make trips there a regular (ish) thing. Anyone wanting to come along, just email me for details on the next trip. Even if you're not coming to do parkour, it's still a really nice place to take a day trip (so long as you don't mind walking..... alot).

Other blog and Media Coverage
Disregard flowflys.blogspot.com. I messed something up in registration so I can't actually access it. It's a pain, I know but this is the PROPER blog.
Turns out the reporter who did our news piece hasn't actually been bothered to edit it yet. Apparently she's been caught up in the whole Madeleine thing. I can't wait till they find her parents guilty and there's a huge media shitstorm. The whole nation feeling betrayed. Anyway, the McCanns have their own blog so if you care about it, read that. This is about parkour. So our ITV news piece probably won't be on for a few days. Floyd says she'll email him about it.
Y'know how in the last blog I asked whether we'd be on BBC? Well... No, we're not going to be on BBC News or anything. Rather, BBC Radio Leicester have contacted us and wish to do a radio piece. I can't see how parkour would work as a radio piece, but Norwich Parkour seemed to pull it off OK. More news about that when it comes.
I'll soon start work on a new parkour video of myself. First, I need footage, editing ideas, and then to finally do the edit so it'll probably be a good few months before I put it out.
Blane also has a new video out. Do a youtube search of 'blane EscApe artist' to find it. It's probably one of the best parkour videos I've seen. Better than SpeedAirMan.

Mandatory First Blog
Alright, here's the first entry on the official FlowFlys Parkour blog by me, Pugh. (If you don't know what parkour is: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parkour)
Why am I doing this? Because College wants me to do a blog, and I decided to do the FlowFlys a favour, too.
What will this blog contain? The latest information from the parkour world, news about the FlowFlys and all local parkour occurences, all with a healthy dose of Pugh humour (or lack thereof).
This will in no way replace the news posts on FlowFlys.co.uk. Rather, it will cover a wider scope than simply the FlowFlys, and be more opinionated.
So, what's been happening recently?
As all the FlowFlys know, we recently did some filming for ITV News. As of me typing this, it has not been aired yet, as it is not time critical. But as soon as it is aired, I'll whack it on youtube for your perusal.
It seems that ever since Floyd started having meetings with those people (I don't know where they're from, it's all quite mysterious), we've been getting alot more media attention, what with our feature in the Loughborough Echo and now this. One has to wonder how far this will go. Will you be seeing the Flowflys in a new version of the 'Jump' documentaries? Highly doubtful. Will we ever be on BBC? Also doubtful. But perhaps all this media attention will do a good job of getting Parkour more well known, and put a stop to the many occasions where we are horribly misunderstood (why, one of the replies to the Echo article was calling us antisocial.). I addressed this in the ITV piece and in no uncertain terms, told these people to fuck off. Maybe they should look further than some kids engaging in a productive discipline to complain about.
Also, while I'm here, I may as well use this as an opportunity to promote tehrevolution.net. One of the best forums for traceurs. While we may not talk about parkour much, we're a genuinely friendly community, and it's a great place to talk about stuff to like-minded people. Also, yours sincerely is the administator, under the pseudonym of 'moot', because I'm cool like that.
Until the next post, goodbye.
